This October, Robb Report published something special. Its Legends of Luxury edition – over ten months in the making – marks fifty years of the world’s oldest luxury publication, and it is every bit as considered and beautifully crafted as the milestone deserves.

As a client and long-standing partner of LMH, it was a pleasure to see the striking front cover of this edition land. We’ve spent considerable time leafing through its pages, finding no shortage of insight, inspiration and moments worth pausing over.

Into the archives

At the heart of the edition is a journey through five decades of luxury. Robb Report’s editorial team delved deep into the archives, surfacing the most iconic moments, the most defining objects and the most remarkable people who have shaped how the world understands luxury today. A reminder of just how much has changed, while how much, at its core, has remained the same. For those of us who work within the luxury world every day, it’s a joy to read.

A love letter to Britain

One of the edition’s most moving red threads for us is how often Britain appears at the centre of the story. From the Rolls-Royce that graced the publication’s very first cover to the Concorde – a feat of engineering and ambition that changed the world’s relationship with travel – many of the defining moments over the past fifty years of luxury have been shaped here. As a London-founded agency, this was meaningful to read.

This season’s finest

Alongside its celebration of the archives, Legends of Luxury also turns its eye to the present – showcasing the most stylish pieces of the season. A moss green Globetrotter trunk was, for us, an immediate highlight. The kind of object that feels simultaneously timeless and of the moment.

Looking ahead

What makes this edition truly special is that it refrains from being only retrospective. Alongside the storied names – Chopard, Porsche, Dunhill and beyond – it also profiles the brands and makers shaping what comes next. Among them, emerging watchmaker Vanguart, whose work represents a new wave of horology that is well worth watching.

It’s a rare thing: an edition that honours fifty years with the depth they deserve, while keeping one eye firmly on the fifty years to come.
