The Event: Venice Film Festival

The Venice Film Festival is the epitome of cultural sophistication this month. 

Set in Venice’s timeless canals and stunning architecture, the festival offers some of the year’s most talked about movies and documentaries. The Exhibition: Barbie, The exhibition

The Barbie exhibition at the Design Museum is a dazzling celebration of the iconic doll’s impact on fashion, design, and culture.

This immersive exhibit offers a journey through Barbie’s evolution, showcasing her transformation from a simple toy into a global cultural phenomenon. Visitors can view a beautiful mix of vintage and modern Barbie dolls, beautifully crafted outfits, and hands-on displays that really bring to life her influence on design and pop culture.

The Restaurant: Cloth Restaurant

Cloth located in Farringdon is a standout destination for those who appreciate refined comfort food. Open Monday through Friday, the restaurant offers a straightforward approach to hospitality, focusing on exceptional British ingredients and generous portions. Guests enjoy a cozy atmosphere within a Grade II-listed building, featuring white marble tables and dark wood banquettes. The menu showcases hearty dishes like Dorset crab with creamy celeriac, Norfolk chicken with wild garlic, and lovely desserts like Amalfi lemon tart and chocolate mousse with salted caramel ice cream.  

Wine enthusiasts will appreciate the thoughtfully selected list from independent and sustainable producers, reflecting the expertise of co-owners Joe Haynes and Ben Butterworth. With its blend of modern British cuisine and carefully chosen wine pairings, Cloth is a refreshing gem in the heart of London’s historic district.

The Pop-Up: Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project

This year, Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project is serving up a delightful mix of fashion and fun that’s hard to resist. 

The 2024 pop-up is a magical escape featuring a range of delicious (and unique!)  ice cream flavours like Bird’s Custard, Mcvitie’s jaffa cakes and Perello Olives. Each flavour is crafted to reflect Hindmarch’s playful design ethos and dedication to quality. Alongside the ice cream, you’ll find a selection of limited-edition accessories that capture the joy of the experience.
